| "I wanted to switch to a single intake setup with a map for the ability to shorten intake piping" i dont see how this setup allows for any shortening of the intake tract, unless you are going to get air from under the engine somewhere. obviously you dont want to get air from the engine bay, and if you go to the front you will have the long plumbing again. "lower the amount of weight in the front of the vehicle"
Ive had it all apart and i can say that at most all the piping weighs less then 20 pounds. i wouldnt be worried about turbulence so much as unbalanced flow. Im afraid i just dont see any advantage to your intake design.
I can actually see some benefit to going map (though i think map is garbage, and would go with a blow through maf setup way before) and mounting the dual intakes below/behind the engine, i dont see any benefit to your manifold design conceptually. i mean obviously you could see some benefits just from a custom built performance sized intake, but really the design of stock seems superior. Just some concerns. Id be very interested to see what kind of gains are possible by putting the intakes much closer to the turbos.
Antihero These 2530's ain't half bad ;)
